Support

Runs Out has no ticket system and no chatbot. Write to a person, or try the fixes below. They cover almost everything people run into.

Get in touch

Bug reports, questions, refund help and feature ideas are all welcome. We aim to reply within a few days.

jyl.iosapp@gmail.com

To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us: your device (e.g. iPhone 15), your iOS version, the app version from Settings ▸ About, what you expected, and what happened instead. Screenshots help enormously.

Common fixes

Reminders are not arriving

Check iOS Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ Runs Out is allowed, then open Runs Out ▸ Settings and confirm the reminder time. Reminders are rebuilt every time you open the app, so simply launching it repairs most cases. Note that a reminder only exists for a date still in the future.

The widget is not updating

The widget refreshes just after midnight and whenever you change an item. If it looks stale, open the app once. If it is still wrong, remove the widget and add it again. iOS occasionally holds on to an old timeline.

My items are not on my other device

Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on. Check iOS Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ iCloud and make sure Runs Out is enabled. Sync is quick but not instant, and it needs a connection at least once on each device.

I bought Pro but it is locked

Open Settings ▸ Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. Pro is a one-time purchase, so it restores on every device on that account, including via Family Sharing.

I want a refund

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so refunds go through them, not us. Use Apple's own page below. If the reason is something broken in the app, write to us first. We would rather fix it.

How do I delete everything?

Settings ▸ Erase all data removes every item, photo and attachment from this device and from your private iCloud database, and ends any share codes you had created. It cannot be undone. Deleting the app alone leaves the synced copy in your Apple Account, so erase first if you want it all gone.
